MelaninCon 2025 Presents: Black Women Leading the Future of Tech Panel
Washington, D.C. — April 25, 2025 — MelaninCon 2025 is excited to host the "Black Women Leading the Future of Tech" panel, a celebration of the remarkable achievements of Black women in the tech industry and a deep dive into how we can empower the next generation of leaders. The panel will take place on April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST at the MLK Library in Washington, D.C.
The session will showcase the stories of groundbreaking Black women who are shaping the future of technology and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Our distinguished panelists include:
Kennedy JoAnn Lucas: A trailblazer at Deloitte Consulting, Kennedy has made her mark in human capital and diversity while advocating for young Black girls. As Miss Black USA 2024, she uses her platform to raise awareness on important causes, such as breast cancer, and to promote inclusivity in every space she enters.
Tadi Tedemet: A single mother turned real estate investor, Tadi took her skills virtual, flipping houses across multiple states. Her story of resilience and empowerment motivates others in underserved communities to pursue financial independence and wealth-building through real estate.
Allie Joy Tsahey: Founder of Baddies in Tech, Allie is on a mission to break barriers for women of color in tech. Her platform connects, educates, and inspires women to thrive in an industry where they are often underrepresented, creating opportunities for growth and mentorship.
Ashley Robinson (Ash): Founder of Better Boost™, Ash is redefining the intersection of AI, wellness, and fashion. Through her innovative work, she’s shaping the future of wearable tech and empowering underrepresented communities by providing access to AI education and career pathways.
The conversation will be expertly moderated by Sierra “Sie Speaks” Shepherd, a media correspondent and storyteller dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black millennial women.
