Happy Birthday Brittnee!
For those who don't know, our grant for aspiring social workers is dedicated to Brittnee, who's been a huge inspiration. I never got to meet Brittneein person, but our interactions in GroupMe and messages left a lasting impact on my life. Can you believe we lost this amazing soul three years ago? Over these three years, I've had the pleasure of getting to know her wonderful family and friends. The way they talk about her and the impact she still has is just beautiful. I remember one of her posts that lit a fire in me to include her cancer battle in my Black Excellence Gala initiative. When I messaged her for help, she was over the moon, and I made sure to let her know how much I admired her strength and wanted to support her.As long as I have my platforms, my determination, and my health, I'm going to keep shining a light on her legacy. Feeling truly blessed to have known you, Brittnee. #Inspiration #Legacy #NeverForget
