Press Release: Celebrating Black Excellence in Fashion: Bridging Afrocentric and Modern American Styles

WASHINGTON, DC - June 27, 2024 - The Mayflower Hotel, Autograph Collection, will set the stage for an extraordinary event celebrating Black excellence in fashion. Hosted by A Celebration of Us, Inc. Noir Nouveau will seamlessly blend Afrocentric and modern American styles, highlighting the innovation of Black designers. This fashion show is a unifying platform between the African and African American diaspora through fashion, empowering narratives, and cultural celebration.

The theme for this year's event is "(Re)Birth, (Re)vitalize, and (Re)invent, underscoring the event's mission to rejuvenate and redefine Black cultural identity through fashion. This cultural celebration and empowerment initiative for the Black community will provide vital representation and visibility to Black individuals and communities, fostering a profound sense of pride and unity.

By bridging the gap between the African and African Americansin diaspora, Noir Nouveau promotes cultural exchange and understanding, showcasing the richness and diversity of Black culture. Noir Nouveau proudly partners with Black Nurses Week, aiming to curate events that build community for Black nurses, providing them with the necessary guidance, education, and resources to excel and thrive in healthcare while embracing their authentic selves.
